His Light Shines in Our Hearts for His Glory 2 Cor. 4:6

God needs us to have sincerity of heart knowledge for us to claim His truths. Ex: putting self down, self hatred, cutting whether it is the body or hair another term would be self mutilation; also, identifying idols in our lives. Another example would be hording or hanging on to negative emotions, or using them to get people to feel sorry for us, or for attention. Did you know all these issues that are being addressed here are against the 1st Commandment?

“Thou shalt have no other Gods before me?”

The first thing we need is Luke, 12:12(my paraphrase) “God will give us the words to say at the time we need His insight of how to proceed.”

Then we need sincerity of heart to check our motives for our actions. We must have God’s knowledge, to claim His Word. Thus, that means devotions, reading and taking time in God’s word to accomplish what He has for us.

We must look at the self sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross. Look closely at the agony that He went through to forgive us of our sins and look to Him for freedom. We must stop the self gratification and look to His ‘Grace’.

God promised His grace is sufficient for us. The definition of grace= undeserved favor. He was pierced for our sins. Isa 53:5. We don’t seem to grasp the fact that Jesus came to set us free. Why it is the world complicates and twists the truth? WE cannot seem to grasp that He puts our sins and past into a sea of forgetfulness. Isa 1: 18 ‘IF’ we ask forgiveness for our sins and our part in harboring them with the past He will forgive us, truly. That is a freedom that we feel guilty about.

Our prayers need to be to heal the subconscious memories and allow Him to make a message out of our mess. We must come into the present and the future. Did He not care for the lilies of the field? Matt 6: 28.

This is one of the many approaches that God uses to empower counselee’s to think about the truth.

To keep up with my EDU’s I have been on several zoom Conferences. The latest:

  • Understanding the 988 emergency phone hot line for suicide prevention. The LGBTQ+ Binary…
  •  Smoking Cessation
  • Addiction treatments
  • Safety & Mental Health

There are so many strange illnesses attacking our counselees’ friends and many families. I cannot begin to describe the cancers, liver issues, dialysis, blood diseases, etc. Our God is able to change any circumstances in our lives. Sometimes we go through them to be testimonies to hospital staff, doctors etc… We may not understand. However, we do know that St Luke was a Doctor, thus it gives us the confirmation that they are able to bring about healing through God’s hand.

Let us ponder …

  • To get something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done.
  • When God takes something from our grasp; He’s not punishing us but merely opening our hands to receive something better.
  • The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not lead or protect you. Please do not be complacent and take God for granted.

Pray-Seek-listen

  • It is our prayers that make a difference 1 Thess 5: 17 & Matt 18:18
  •  Pray for us to set the captives free so they can know the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.

From My Heart to Yours,
