Psalm 33:12 – Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!

Looking back at the last six months, January brought some release from COVID.
Nevertheless, things have ramped up again. My own personal thought is we really are in
germ warfare. My schedule is busy and all of my appointments are by phone. I’m still
enjoying our Zoom conferences too. The savings from gas and hassle has been nice for 3
years now, especially with the illnesses and the siege that I have been under for over a year
now with physical health.

January’s Zoom we talked about 150% more people using elicit drugs since COVID started.
The addictions and domestic violence has been more rampant than ever before. Teens are
and children are caught in all of the abuse. It appears with no one knows how to be a family
anymore and do not have the knowledge to relate to each other. The anger just
overwhelms and then the teens are vaping and and using just as much as the adults are. As
suicide rates have tripled, children are now seeking out suicide and some doing drugs as
young as 9 and 10 years old. This is just from the United States so you can imagine how it is
throughout the whole world. I don’t need to tell you more… it’s in the news. But really listen
to the Christian news – that way you’ll get a Christian perspective of what is really
happening in our society and the Word to go along with it. I recommend “HisChannel” for
viewing at www.hischannel.com or search for HisChannel in the app store for your mobile
device.

Our country and our world needs revival. The first Thursday of every May is our prayer
breakfast. We are praying for our authorities and local officials as we need our society to
change in our area. We had a full house and every church had a prayer service sometime
during the day. That’s what is needed… every day, not just when we feel like it or think
about it.

Remember we are not conformed to this world but we are just passing through it. It is our job
and mandated by our Bible to pray. 1st Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to pray without ceasing.
Psalms 33:12 tells us that “this is the nation who’s God is the Lord.” I ‘m sure as I sit here we
have lost that perspective.

At the end of February I had to have seven heart procedures done. The poor doctor said he’s
never seen anyone in all of his life to be so difficult to work with but God brought me
through. It is a slow healing process. I am counseling through it all because God gives me
the strength to persevere.

Remember when Israel had good kings and bad kings? You have got to love that because
Israel was so obnoxious and would do whatever anyone wanted to do, whether it was
making idols or disgracing God’s temple. Thus, due to the disobedience, God had to do
something to bring back discipline. Could it be that’s why our country and world is in
disgrace due to the lack of obedience?

In March, our Zoom continued with military issues and the overdoses including the PTSD
and brain trauma from those who have been at war. They need to conform to treatment
process and mostly refuse, we are losing them to homeless shelters, homelessness, crime
etc. We need to pray especially for these people who served because if it wasn’t for their
service in war we wouldn’t have a free country today at all. Pray for their healing.

April has been difficult working with counselees. A husband of one went home to be with the
Lord, three of my people have survived COVID, two different families lost grandparents. I
have two new children counselees… one looking on the computer how to commit suicide,
another just out of control. These are 9 and 10-year-olds. Couples are in distress fighting with
each other. I am working on trying to get better due to allergies from medications. In spite of
it all, God is persevering and we are still doing Bible study every two weeks. John 1:16 tells
us …”and of his fullness we have all received and grace for grace.”

May has brought another Zoom conference on developmentally disabled and the stress they
are under due to not understanding why lives are in appeal.

As I end with Heartline with these few months remember the Lord helps us not to be
discouraged by by the failures when they come our way. Psalm 16:11 tells us “You will show
me the path of life, in your presence is fullness of joy, at your right hand our pleasures
forevermore.” In other words don’t be caught into the circumstances.

May the Lord bless and keep you in his protection and care and thank you for your devotion
and faithfulness to CDM blessings to all.
