1 Peter 1:6-7 We only suffer for a little while so that we can have greater faith…and be refined as gold.
The Devil is always seeking whom he may devour. It’s the truth that keeps us safe and us focusing on God’s word continually.
It’s been awhile since I’ve written a newsletter. It has been a very unusual year. First off, last winter was very different and we only had to use our snow blower once throughout the season. However, during that time it had brought out new clients. They have emerged through the trials they have and are being blessed by CDM. I even
had Chicago people. The season is now changing once again to fall, and I am still sick as I have been much of this year. However, since now most of my counsel is done by
phone, I am able to still work with people. God prevails. With being in bed while I am writing this, I can share what God has put on my heart.
I just wanted to mention that I have so much appreciation for Jim H. who is my computer tech. He has developed a beautiful web page for me. Go to www.cleardomeministry.com and check it out. I am sure if you have website needs, Jim would be able to help.
This has been a year of many concerns in working with addiction issues to domestic violence. Divorce is always such a trauma which is worse than death. Then there are those who want to draw closer to our Lord and stay accountable and vent their concerns and learn how to handle them as Jesus does. Some have learned to tithe and was very surprised by God’s blessings immediately after they’ve paid their first tithe.
I also have parents that want to understand their children’s Attention Deficit Disorder and how to Biblically deal with them.
God deals with us in consistency and repetition and that is also the key for these children/adults. God always has to be first, then unity as a family, and then the husband being the spiritual leader of the home. The urgent connection is through the power of prayer and using the tools God gives them. I have nurses being prayer warriors for those whom they come in contact with.
There is so much we as laymen/missionaries can do through prayer and encouragement. We can do that by sending cards, sharing their gifts (such as house cleaning, gardening, baking, etc), saying hi with a smile…. you would be surprised what a smile can do for a person. I’ve also shared with the grief that people are going through. It is so difficult to have the memories and feel such loss at different times. We need to be available way after the funeral is over for at least six weeks or holiday times etc…
I’ve spoken recently sharing my story with the senior Church group. I then had the privilege and honor of sharing prayer for the annual World Day of Prayer for the Sanctity of Life. Also, I was privileged and honored at Memorial Day to share my holocaust story. I had to thank our troops for empowering freedom for me to have life in the United States. With all this going on, we used a pickup truck to carry 300 Bibles, along with hymnals and other accessories to the Chicago Missions outreach called Olive Branch. All of this was accomplished in spite of Satan’s attacks trying to
prevent me from working. You don’t mess with God’s anointed. Thank you all for allowing me to be a blessing in your lives and also my staff that is faithful to the cause of Christ.
