God’s Promise: Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” God has directed CDM for 2018 as He has throughout the years. As we trust Him for the direction and follow His lead we can never go wrong... which is mentioned in Proverbs 3:5-6. I started out with some young people in the beginning of the year. This brightens the range of our work with counseling and gives new incentives to challenge young people to focus on God for direction instead of what the college has said. Refusing to do what is right means we distance ourselves from God and from others. They say no to doing right no matter what the cost. It wounds all those around them when they live in rebellion. However, that is not who we are. We are not children of rebellion. Our hearts are in the palm of the Father’s hands. We are His children. He directs our motives and steps in love. We may be surrounded by people who refuse to do the right thing. No matter what - they will not listen to anyone around them. The consequences of their actions will follow. We cannot shoot our wounded. We need to rally around them through prayer in spite of their rebellion. God says to get rid of all the past and forgive those who have hurt us. If we don’t then we’ll not be forgiven either. Eph 4:31-32 many come here to deal with the vengeance that they want to pursue. I show them the truth through the word that only God can get vengeance we only have one choice and that is to forgive. In spite of circumstances I was determined to not allow Satan to cause me discouragement to give up and allow him to win. So I continued my counseling all of it over the phone.
